Job Description:

The role of an Electrical Assembly Technician is assembly, electrical wiring, machine set up, check out, training. Compliance with company ERP system to assist with production and project work reporting, managing job tasks and helping the organization keep the customer database in pristine condition. This role is responsible for understanding the company electrical and technical needs to achieve company and customer needs. Responsibilities for this position also include establishing and maintaining industry and electrical knowledge, working with Project Managers and cross functional teams to solve an organization's technical challenges. Expert in industry, packaging machines and technical skillsets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

KRA #1 – Electrical Assembly and Wiring:

• Assemble electrical components and systems according to specifications.
• Perform electrical wiring tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during assembly.
• Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

KRA #2 – Machine Setup and Checkout:

• Set up and configure packaging machinery for optimal performance.
• Conduct machine checkouts to ensure proper functionality.
• Provide training to operators on machine setup and usage.

KRA #3 – Compliance with ERP System:

• Utilize the company ERP system for production and project work reporting.
• Manage job tasks and maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
• Ensure the customer database is kept in pristine condition.

KRA #4 – Technical Knowledge and Skill Development:

• Stay updated with industry and electrical knowledge.
• Continuously develop technical skillsets related to packaging machines.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance expertise.

KRA #5 – Collaboration with Project Managers and Cross-Functional Teams:

• Work closely with Project Managers to address technical challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Provide technical support and expertise to team members.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of experience building electrical panels
• 1 to 3 years of experience wiring machinery
• Working knowledge of NFPA, NEC and UL
• Mechanical proficiencies
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of food/washdown wiring best practices

Desired Skills:

• Journeyman Electrician certification
