The role of the Shop Laborer is to assist with duties including preparing equipment for shipment, parts order assembly, facilities custodial daily activities, assist receiving department in receiving equipment and parts orders, assist stock room in sorting and inventory of parts, prepare spare parts orders for daily shipment, pick up and drop off parts at local vendors.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment for shipment
• Cleaning of equipment
• Assist receiving department with receiving equipment and parts orders
• Assist with sorting and inventory of parts in the stock room
• Prepare spare parts orders for daily shipment
• Pick up and drop off parts at local vendors
• Assist with machine sub-assemblies
• Daily forklift safety checks
• Custodial duties - including but not limited to
  • Maintain shop & production floors
  • Empty shop floors garbage cans and bins
  • Keep shop clean and organized
  • Cleaning floors with floor scrubber
  • Maintain floor scrubber
• Load/unload semi-trailers
• Must be able to work overtime when required

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Strong organizational skills
• Forklift Certificate – Will provide training
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Physical strength to move equipment and parts
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to use power and hand tools
• Stamina to stand for most of the day
• General knowledge of reading blueprints
• General computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a ˝ hour unpaid lunch. (can be flexible). Travel as needed.
